“A Fragile Utopia” is a meditation and a diary on living and moving through New York City. New York has been an inspiration and a refuge for Brad Jones, all the while slowly becoming a precarious and difficult place to stay.

Brad Jones was born in Springfield, Missouri and raised in suburban Memphis, Tennessee, where he studied illustration and photography. He earned his degree in photography in Memphis, and has been working as a photographer in the advertising and film industries for the last 20 years. In 2015, he began a personal project documenting his annual travels with family between Spain and Puerto Rico in the project called “Dos Mundos”. In 2018, he began documenting the details of everyday life in New York City. This became the project “A Fragile Utopia”. He resides in Brooklyn with his wife and young son.
