Hometown centers on the unpredictable streets of Bucharest, capturing moments that are comic, absurd, or deeply human. The series emphasizes juxtapositions, blending humor with empathy while revealing humanity in the everyday.
The project is not fixed but continuously evolving, shaped by the city itself. Streets shift, seasons change, situations repeat in new variations. The photographer sees Bucharest as a living collaborator, an open-ended exploration of its character.
Eyeshot Magazine #20
The fourth Eyeshot Open Call, a reading of contemporary street and documentary photography across continents and approaches. Issue #20 collects six awarded works, single images and series, selected by a jury of seven photographers, editors, and curators. The works move between street observation, documentary practice, intimate portraiture, and political witness, presented as an annual reading of what photography is doing now.
