MY INDIA
In 2012, Dimitris Makrygiannakis travelled for 4 months to India to improve as a photographer. Day after day, through the discovery of these places, he developed the way to start speaking his own photographic language. These photos represent India as he experienced it then, “My India”.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Dimitris Makrygiannakis was born in 1979 in Greece but has been living in Stockholm, Sweden since 2004 where he works as a medical doctor. His first contact with artistic photography was in 2010, and since then photography has been a part of his everyday life. Dimitris is a member of the Burn My Eye photography collective and the winner of the Invisible Photographer Asia 2013 and 2014 Fotoura street photography awards. His work has been presented in numerous exhibitions around the world.
