Geremew Tigabu has always been fascinated by the interaction between human beings and their shadows. For him, shadows are a reflection of self, a mirror for the viewer. They don’t lie, rather they magnify the subject, the true soul of humans is shown through them. In this series “In Between” he delves into this intriguing interaction, capturing human beings reflected in their darker counter-parts.

Geremew Tigabu is a street and documentary photographer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. His passion for street photography and the urge to go out and scavenge the corners of the city has been the driving factor for most of his works. He was part of the Addis Foto Fest 2016, one of the winners of the “Celebrate Africa photography competition” which was organized by PicFair and Canon in 2017. He was published on “The Guardian”.
