On an Island. These photographs represent a larger body of work I hope to show one day. My eye is consistently drawn to those lost in something – themselves, another, or just the world around them. “On an Island” explores what it means to be marooned. From young, blind love to palpable loneliness, we have all felt detached from the world around us, even if for just a fraction of a second. Swimming in a city of over 8.5 million people, I find myself always looking for their shores.
