“Back & White” in Tokyo | My style of photography is usually focused on candid close-up shots trying to get emotions and moods from faces of my subjects. I have however found interesting to work on a series called “Back and white in Tokyo” featuring people shot from behind and surrounded by Tokyoite “cliché” backgrounds. My approach here, with subjects becoming fully neutrals and anonymous, is to create an atmosphere fostering more thoughts and imagination about them…

BIO | NIKO is a French photographer currently based in Shanghai expressing himself through “street-photography”. He has been living away from France for more than 10 years mainly in Asia (Tokyo and Shanghai) and Eastern Europe where he has been developing his own way to shoot “un-posed” and “candid” photographs within his favorite playground: The Streets and its People. Music is the key component of his whole artistic process from the shooting to the final edit of his photographs – he hopes you perceive some noise or even hear some music while watching his pictures…
