Suzan Pektaş’s “Dreams the Black Sea”
54,90€ – 229,00€
“Dreams the Black Sea” is the second book of the Turkish documentary photographer Suzan Pektaş, featuring an introduction by Gulnara Samoilova. This monograph tells a narrative that aims to reshape the mesmerizing stories that scattered Pektaş’ summer nights, as told by her grandfather, a disabled actor, in the family’s beach hut.
The stories are brought to life through Pektaş’ striking imagery, featuring headless horses, children, and the hypnotic charm of the Black Sea. After 25 years, Pektaş returns to the region, searching for the characters that inhabited these tales.
“Dreams the Black Sea” comes in two different limited-editions: White Edition and Black Edition. The Black Edition features one unique Fine Art Photograph (30×20 cm) that has never been printed for sales before, and exclusively available through the purchasing of the book only.

The Photographer’s Vision
“I am mostly concerned with the existence and consciousness of the individual. Most, unaware of the space they exist in, are in deep solitude, unseen and untouched. I want to capture and recreate this solitude as an appreciation of people and their consciousness, invisible ties that bind us all together”.
