Restless Eye is a new limited edition photobook by Richard Bram, published by Eyeshot. It shapes decades of Bram’s black-and-white street photography into a book of fleeting narratives: brief encounters, gestures, and glances where a story appears for a fraction of a second. Rather than a conventional retrospective, the book follows the movement of a restless eye across cities and situations, each frame a small fragment that suggests what came before and what might come next. It is a book about the narrative power of street photography, the way a single image can open a world without ever fully explaining it.
After 30 September, this limited edition will never be available again.

Richard Bram is an American street photographer based in London, whose candid pictures of public life span more than three decades and cities across the world. Born in Philadelphia and formerly based in Louisville and New York, he works in the tradition of the “significant gesture” — the fleeting instant when an ordinary scene becomes charged with meaning. In 2001 he became a founding member of in-public, the first international street photography collective, now UP Photographers. His photographs are held in the permanent collections of the Museum of London, the Museum of the City of New York, the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris, and the George Eastman Museum in Rochester.
