Eyeshot Book

Siegfried Hansen’s “The Flow of the Lines”

“The Flow of the Lines” is the second book by renowned street photographer Siegfried Hansen, featuring an introduction by David Gibson. Following the overwhelming success of Hansen’s first book, which has since sold out, this highly anticipated release showcases 147 captivating photos that capture the energy and vibrancy of the urban landscape.  In “The Flow of the Lines”, Hansen’s ability to notice such small, quiet details, loudly celebrates the joy of graphics and absolute precision, which is indeed typical of Hansen’s love of graphic lines in urban settings.

“The Flow of the Lines” comes in two different limited-editions: White Edition (470) and Black Edition (30). The Black Edition features one unique Fine Art Photograph (30×20 cm) that has never been printed for sales before, and exclusively available through the purchasing of the book only.

The Monograph

“The Flow of the Lines”

The collection Eyeshot curated in “The Flow of the Lines” is a retrospective of sorts, mostly the tried and trusted images that Siegfried is known for. Many photographers have a unique vision, but Hansen’s seems pared back to a laser-sharp regard for lines and formula.

Designed and Made in Italy

Fedrigoni Papers

Eyeshot uses only papers from Fedrigoni, an Italian paper mill founded in 1888 in Verona. All Fedrigoni’s papers are FSC® certified, made from pure ECF pulp. Every product is fully biodegradable and recyclable.

Symbol Tatami White 135g/m2 is a thick paper coated on both sides with a Matt finish. Its volume and thickness give it a remarkable textural consistency that makes it ideal for prestigious publications such as Eyeshot’s monographs.

EFC: ELEMENTARY CHLORINE FREE. It’s an environmentally friendly type of paper that has been bleached with products free of elemental chlorine. By replacing it with chlorine dioxide, polluting emissions are reduced by 90%.

FSC® MIX. The Forest Stewardship Council is one of the internationally recognised forestry certification systems, which guarantees the proper management of forests and the traceability of the resulting products.

HEAVY METAL ABSENCE. Paper and packaging are produced in a way that allows them to be reused and recycled. The absence of harmful metals and other substances and materials that are hazardous to human health is guaranteed.

LONG LIFE: ISO 9706. This certification ensures that paper production recycles more CO2 than it emits, thus reducing the release of CO2 into the atmosphere that causes global warming. In compliance with ISO 9706 standards, the paper we use is acid-free which gives it resistance to light, wear and tear, and durability over time. It can be stored for up to 200 years.

The Photographer’s Vision

“I like the aesthetic of lines, patterns, and shapes I strive to add a ‘second layer’ to a picture, for example by matching seemingly unconnected elements within my subjectively chosen frame”.
